Part of an ancient caste of celestials known as Archons, Caledex and his kind were tasked with keeping order in the multiverse before the gods cemented their reins. Setup: The being known as Caledex the Crowntaker may seem at first like a petty warlord, dropping out of the blue to dethrone a reigning monarch and challenge them to single combat, but is infact much more. The Party’s job just got a lot more complicated, regardless of their stake in this sight. Rushing through the hole it made in the enemy defenses ( or to block the incursion this beast has just made in their fortress) the party discovers the beast making a ruin of the surrounding battlements while the besieged sovereign fights for their life against a towering, hooded figure. In the middle of a pitched siege engagement, the battlelines are completely thrown into disarray when a gargantuan dragon comes swooping out of the sky, laying waste to warriors on both sides before crashing bodily through a wall of one of the inner keeps.More and more reavers and other fortune seekers flock to them these days, and as their ranks swell, so too does their hunger and ambition.
